Hi Chefs! Today we will make Apple puffed pancake! This recipe does take a while though......I am also very sorry that I haven't been posting lately! With out further ado lets grab our aprons and start!
INGREDIENTS:
1. 1 cup of milk
2. 4 large eggs
3. 2 tbsp. of honey
4. 1 tsp. of vanilla
5. 1/2 tsp. salt
6. 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon
7. 2/3 cup whole wheat pastry flour or all purpose flour
8. 4 tbsp. of unsalted butter, melted
9. 2 apples, peeled and sliced thinly (Use Tart Apples)
10. 4 Tbsp. of Brown sugar or Sucanat, optional
TIME TO COOK!
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Place butter in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place apple slices in overlapping rows. Bake Until apples and butter are bubbling, about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, whirl all remaining ingredients in the blender except brown sugar. Pour liquid batter over bubbly apples in casserole dish. Sprinkle with brown sugar if desired. Bake for 20 minutes. This "Pancake" will puff up and make a delicious egg casserole for breakfast.
Enjoy!
